People generally find that the Penryn campus has a nice, chill and laid-back beach vibe. It's size means that you get to know people quickly - even the people you might see sitting around you in the library or around campus. The town is quite small but there is loads to do if you know where to go. The variety of different vibes the pubs, bars and clubs offer in Falmouth is pretty decent. There's a good live music scene, places for quiet drinks, between drinks and dancing and then a couple of clubs (Mango's which is kind of a bar, with a dance floor and bar upstairs, Vanilla and Club I), there is a gaming bar, cocktail bars, wine bars. We have four beaches within walking distance. All that without the bars and pubs in Penryn and the campus bar. The societies and clubs on campus offer a really good range of activities, with a lot of water-based sports seeing as we have the beautiful coast. The people you'll meet here are some of the friendliest and honest. It's a really fun and safe place to be and I wouldn't be anywhere else.
