Can I sue <someone or something> if <something completely unrelated>?

I went to a slot machine entertainment centre on Monday, and on the signage at the entrance, it said that there is a soft play area upstairs. However, it turns out that the soft play area has been closed for years.

Now I was wondering, to make myself feel better about this situation, can I sue Digital Spy for the demise of the soft play area and for the entertainment centre displaying outdated and misleading signage?

Wasn't this sort of rubbish deleted all the time on the Digital Spy Forums?

Oh well, only time will tell... anyway, in terms of the original question: they should have taken down the sign; that you can sue them for for false advertising

But please do not make this sort of thread on here as well as ds
The idea of this thread is to ask if you can sue somebody or a company for something that is nothing to do with them.

Like for example:

Can I sue Ellie Goulding because my microwave blew up?

Yes you can!

His lawyers aren't of a very good standard, so I think you have a roaring chance of winning!

I really don't get this thread...

So, you say two completely unrelated things and then have to find a link with other people's posts?

E.g. Somebody says 'Can I sue X for Y?' and you say that 'Yes, you can, because actually *insert unknown link between X and Y*'?

Help XD

Can I sue you because I was trying to put a bag of something in the bin, and the bottom of the bag broke and the contents leaked over my nice trousers.

You can sue the company who you bought the bin bags from, as they shouldn't have been such poor quality. :frown:

Also, you could sue Edexcel for the disastrous C3 exam last year.

Yes, I'll sue 50 Cent, Pitbull, Kesha, James Blunt and 2Pac for it!

I may also sue the lot above because DJ Sammy did a cover of a Don Henley song!
