Geography BA - Manchester, Newcastle or Reading?

I am looking to attend an open day for Geography BA at either Manchester, Newcastle or Reading. All three unis have the open day on the same day, which one would be best as a potential option choice?

I am aiming for ABB and fear I won't meet Manchester's entry requirements of AAB

Open day clashes are always super frustrating, but you don't have to go to the open day of every university you're intending to apply to. I only went to 2 or 3 before I sent my application off, and left the others until after I'd received an offer. Most universities (certainly all the ones I applied to) run post-offer open days and I personally found them to be much more informative than the general university-wide open days, as they're typically run by the department you've applied to.

Manchester interview their BA Geography applicants so you could skip this one off your open day list, as they give you a tour of the facilities, a sample lecture and do some talks on your interview day anyway. They personalise your offer to you based on your interview performance/personal statement and reference so don't worry too much about not hitting their AAB requirements. Also, don't be put off by the fact that they do interviews - they won't throw horribly difficult questions at you and it's really just an opportunity to get to know you and the way in which you approach geographical concepts a bit better.

So, Reading or Newcastle? Decisions, decisions...

Look further into the research and specialisms of the departments at both universities and see which is more closely aligned to your own personal interests. Have a look on here to see if you can find students from either university too as they might be able to answer some of your questions about the course as well.

Yeah it's decent, I have a good variety of modules so you can tailor it to your interests. You get 60 of the 120 credits chosen for you as the core modules then you get to make the other 60 credits you choose. All the staff are nice and helpful and really enthusiast about it all.

Not bad! Student union has events every Wednesday and Saturday with special events every so often on a Friday- drinks don't cost much either... In town there's a selection of clubs all pretty much on the same couple of streets which have something on every night.
