Masters degree in advertising?

Hello everyone. I would like some information and/or advice regarding a masters degree in UK. I'm currently an undergraduate student in the faculty of english language and literature, however, I'm interested in obtaining a masters degree in advertising. So, my question is; will I be able to find a job position in the advertising market with a bachelors in English but a masters in advertising? What options do I have besides teaching? I want to expand my knowledge in other fields. Any advice is beyond welcome. Thank you for your time.:smile:
I have a degree in geography. In my first job in advertising I was trained by a classics scholar and an aeronautical engineer. Over the years I have hired graduates in history, English, Maths, physics, chemistry, philosophy, languages, law and many other disciplines besides. I once even hired a killer whale trainer. To me, a candidate's academic subject doesn't matter - they merely have to be very good at it, and enthusiastic about their choices. A degree in English is a perfectly good qualification for a career in advertising, assuming it's a good degree from a good University. I'm really not sure what you would gain from taking a postgraduate degree in advertising. In my opinion, most advertising courses are not taught very well, and it's not an academic subject. You already have considerable experience of advertising, having been targetted by numerous campaigns over the years. Use that, and your ability to write, as a way into the industry.
