Visitors staying with me in my dorm?

Hi,

I'm going to Exeter in September and I was wondering if my dad would be able to stay with me in my dorm room for about 4 days. Also, how often can visitors stay with me when I am in university? And for how many days? In the accommodation FAQ (http://www.exeter.ac.uk/accommodation/faq/#collapse112) it just says that visitors have to be signed in to stay overnight.
