You want to express the surd entirely in terms of 2, then use the laws of indices to figure out what n is.

First try simplifying 282\sqrt{8} - you can simplify the square root further.
2= 2 to the power of 1
Root 8= 2 to the 3/2
1+3/2=5/2
So it is 2 to the power of 5/2

That was exactly what I go!!! But aparantley the answer is 2.5 so I got really confused 😩😩

5/2 is the same thing as 2.5. How is this not immediately obvious, since all you need to do is convert 2.5 to a fraction.

Oh yeah I can't believe myself!! 2.5--> 250/100,25/10,5/2 lol why am I in set 1 maths !? Loool silly me and my miniature mistakes 😂😂,although thank you!
