2nd Year Transfer student from City University London to the University of York

Hi,

I am transferring from a London institution because I'm not enjoying my time there and have been offered a place at York which I'm super excited about! I will be studying BA Politics and progressing into second year this September 2015.

I am a tad apprehensive about how i will make friends seeing as you usually make your friends in your first year.
And also is there a specific college that most people come back to live in for their second year?
And is there anyone who is currently studying politics if yes what do you think of the department? i mean it must be top ten for a reason right :P
