What is AAT?

Im trying to find a apprenticeship as a trainee, however most firms require a part or fully qualified AAT candidate.
What is AAT and how do I do it?

Hi Aysha,

AAT is an introductory accountancy qualification, and is made up of 3 main levels (you can start at a later level if you already have some accountancy experience). We actually have a Guide to AAT available here, which talks through what the qualification involves and how you can study it: http://www.bpp.com/professional-education/aat/guide-to-aat/

Alternately, you could actually study for your AAT through an apprenticeship rather than one after the other: http://www.bpp.com/apprenticeships/apprentice-info

Hope this helps!
