The Student Room Group

Just received my projected grades, how likely am I to receive an offer?

I have just received my projected grades, and they are:

Mathematics HL - 7
Physics HL - 7
Chemistry HL - 5
Geography SL - 6
Japanese SL - 7
English SL - 6
TOK - A
EE - B
Total - 41

I am currently considering applying to the following universities for Physics with Astronomy / Astrophysics:

Cambridge University (Reach)
University of St. Andrews (Fit)
University of Edinburgh (Fit)
University of Glasgow (Safety)
University of Surrey (Safety)

How likely do you think I am to receive a conditional offer from these universities, and how would you think these offers would look like?

What I hear from most people is that nobody can tell you if you are to receive an offer - even based on your predicted scores. However, I would say that there's a good chance that Glasgow, Edinburgh and St. Andrews will consider you. With a 41, I'm sure that Cambridge will consider you given that you have strong extracurricular activites, personal statement and such. This is just stuff I've heard from people a year or two above me, as opposed to personal experience but I hope that this will help!

Best of luck with your applications! I'm applying this year too.
Kind of impossible to comment without even knowing what subject you're applying for!

Sorry, I have clarified my subject as an edit in my original post.

I am wondering that do you have any entrance exams for Astrophysics?
If do so, the grade exam, interview and ps will decide you can go into cam or not ( i guessed)

I have the similar situation, I reach the requirements for maths at oxford.
They asks all maths candidates to take entrance exams for maths.

By the way, I think St. Andrews and Edinburgh are safe to you as well!
Sorry, is St Andrews good for physics in general?

Yeah the research department at St Andrews is really strong! For the proportion of 4* research as measured by the REF 2014, St Andrews was only beaten by Oxbridge.

Thank you! I'm a foreign student so I don't know much.
