Is it worth retaking GCSE Maths just so I could do Polticis/ Economics?

Just wanted some advice on this.

Im doing Politics Bio and Chem and predicted A*BB, obviously I want to do a politics degree of some sort. However I think studying politics alone for 3 years would get incredibly boring, and as I understand economics generally gives better career prospects.

I don't have A level Maths however many Unis will accept a B/A at GCSE Maths as adequate for economics, I got ABD in my maths modules and got C overall(cause the D was in the highest weighted unit)

Is it worth the hassle of retaking just so I could do a joint degree?

Never thought of thatt, good point !
There are a whole range of different sorts of Economics courses - some are more social science based, others are maths heavy - choose carefully, ie. one with less maths emphasis if this isnt your strong point.

Economics will not necessarily give you more career options that 'just Politics' - and remember there are heaps of courses that involve Politics with other subjects that would give you a vocational skill :
Politics and Communication (Swansea)
Politics and Sociology (Bristol)
Social Policy (Kent, Liverpool, Nottingham, Bristol, Leeds etc etc)
International Development (Reading, UEA, Sussex etc)
International Relations (often 'with Politics') (Bristol, Greenwich, Keele, Bath etc etc).
American Studies / Middle Eastern Studies etc - with a year abroad (UEA, Sussex, Exeter etc.)
