Sony PSP and Wifi

Hi,

My brother got a PSP recently and i was attempting to connect to the home wifi network.

However, first of all the PSP doesnt detect any networks whatsoever even though other devicescan detect my network and upto a dozen in the area.

So i just figure, it doesnt matter, if i set everything up manually itll work. SO i set it up to connect manually and it wont detect it. Nothing wrong with the router, i am sure of that. I ahve the correct WPA key.

Whats wrong? The concerning thing is, when its supposed to scan for networks it takes an instant and then goes make sure your swireless switch is turned (ive taken this to mean router after googling a bit). Ive turned wireless powersave off to ensure that tha antenna is at its maximum power.

Anyone know whats wrong?

the wireless switch is on the side of the unit, near the d-pad. here

did you kick yourself in the head when you realised that was the problem?

I did! over and over :P: though at the time i never posted on here so nearly sent it back to sony as a faulty machine!!
