Prospective postgrad looking for private accommodation

Hi there! I've received an unconditional offer for the MA in Translation Studies for entry in October 2016 and I'm not planning to live in halls but rather in privately rented accommodation with my boyfriend.

Does anyone have any recommendations of good places to live/ good landlords they could suggest/ general tips and advice for the property search? (i.e. where is the best place to live/ when is the best time to look?)

I'd be immensely grateful if anyone were able to help me out with any info but I'd be over the moon if maybe you were/are a student there who has done the same I intend to. If you know the property you live(d) in may be available as of summer this year, it would be great if you could tip me off.
