Retail banker towards a graduate scheme

Hi,

I'm finding it hard getting onto a graduate scheme for some banks. I have a 2.2 in maths which some banks except however my cv is lacking experience in a financial role.

I have applied for a retail banking position and was wondering if you've heard/read of people becoming a retail banker and transferring within the company onto a graduate role?

Retail banking doesn't necessarily need a degree just some previous experience in customer facing etc.

Would it be a good way in getting my foot through the door?
