Gap Year

Sadly my A levels didn't go as planned and I ended up getting BCD in Geography,Maths and Chemistry. I managed to make it onto a foundation course at Kingston Univeristy through clearing but looking at it now I cant really see myself that close to home. I was wondering if I should just go this 5 year foundation course with these results and this below average university, or shall I take year off, resit the exams that I failed and reapply next year with better results at a uni of my choice. I want to go to Robert Gordon to do pharmacy but I don't know if they will accept a student who resits for the third year. also I don't know the process works with resits, if I reapply with my current A level grades, do I have to tell them I am ressitting because I doubt they will offer me anything with these grades now or do I wait till next year and go through clearing into my desired uni with better grades. also do A level results matter even after you have graduated from university.
