PS primary PGDE in Scotland - Brownies - in my PS or come from my reference?

Hi there,

I'm applying for a PGDE in primary teaching in Scotland and I'm wondering if I should include my volunteer experience with Brownies in my personal statement or should it be included in my reference or can it be mentioned in both?

Also when including the words "primary 7" in a sentence, does "primary" begin with a lower case "p" and is "7" written as a number? Hope that makes sense!

Talk about it in terms of what you learnt that's relevant to the course and how it will help you. Your referee can also mention it. Primary is fine with a small p unless it's part of the full name of the course or school (i.e part of a proper noun). 7 is fine as a number.
