i've got mine (my 2nd choice, which sucks cos i loved the 1st)

and i'm renting a computer, but have found out i can't have my own digital camera software on it :frown:

Heya!

I've been accepted by Edinburgh for entry in 2005 (having a gap year)
Was wondering how u fill in the accomodation form.
How do u make sure u get an en-suite???
Any suggestions/advice greatly appreciated!

Well, to maximise your chances you've got to make sure you don't count yourself out of any placements. This means that even if you don't smoke, tick the box which says you don't mind sharing with smokers. Holland House accounts for a large proportion of the en-suite accomodation and it's a smoking is permitted building. Around 60% of people get in Pollock, then around the same is en-suite. You'll have about just over a one in three chance of getting en-suite. There's no real way of making sure you get anything aside from trying to make yourself as be able to be placed anywhere as you can. Have fun on your gap year, I just finished mine :smile:

chancellors court.

its not really student accomodation, its more like a hotel - which is gud in a way, but in the other houses people make loads more friends. also being in chancellors court is def frowned upon by the other houses bcos chanc court is 80% ya's, or was in my year anyway. dnt get me wrong, there are sum non-ya's. but as a whole i'm very very glad i wasnt put in there.

Whew, I got a call this morning from Accomodation Services asking why I hadn't returned my acceptance form yet. Just had to rush all the stuff together and have it sent special deliver for tomorrow morning, saved! :redface:
