Choices, choices, choices... (help!!)

Hi geographers, I'm planning to study geography next year, and would really like to hear your say on the geography courses in your uni!

There are lots of choices, but since I can't go to open days (don't live in the UK) I can't tell which I'd "be most happy in"...could you help narrow the list down a bit?

I'm looking for courses/unis that
-have more tutorials/groupwork and less big lectures (hate them)
-are located in a small to medium-sized city
-are great places to study geo!
