Fashion design - books?

heya,
was just wondering what everyone else is doing about the books situation, cause there seem to be quite a lot on the list and not many pennies in my piggy bank! are you buying all of them before you get there ( if so where from and are some places cheaper than others?) or waiting to see whats in the libary?

I'm not going to Leeds but for Fashion Design books I Highly recommend 'The Fundamentals of Fashion Design'. Written by people who know what they are talking about.

most people on fashion design just bought the most esential books (try ebay, morplan or amazon) it ends up being pretty pricey but you do need them. i would say dont bother buying the 'arty' things on the list paints, pencils ect. you will not use them there is nothing arty about the course. we all bitched about how we spent loads of money for no reason. stick to the pattern cutting stuff and the pattern books. good luck!
