You opinion on: Guys wearing Hairbands - [Like this...]

Hi

I'm a guy and I have medium-ish hair. I don't want to cut it, and it is usually fairly messy, so i was thinking of wearing a hair band like many footballers do.

I was just wondering what you girls and even guys think when you see a guy wearing a hair band. Or just what you think in general of it.

If I did wear a hair band, how long would it take for my hair to grow backward naturally - i.e. it doesn't keep falling forward in front of my face.

Also wondering if you know any stores where you can buy the kind of hair bands which are fairly thin, but with spikes to push your hair back.

Here are some pics of footballers wearing hair bands to give you an idea...

ugh no.
don't want to be rude, but you'll probably look like a pratt.
I hate the whole hair bands on men thing... fortunately I've only seen it on footballers. If I actually saw someone walking past wearing one, I'd just be like...oh no.

Unless you're one of those people who somehow always seem to be able to pull off the randomest fashions/styles, I really wouldn't suggest it. Yeh, there are some people who can get away with all sorts, but they're few and far between, so I'd advise against it personally...

It's strange, normally I just tell my friends to wear whatever they want, and to not care about what other people think, but this one little thing alllways annoys me. I guess it's just a pet peeve.
This is a popular trend among the Hispanic chongos of Miami. I find it to be rather lame.

The length of hair is awesome by itself naturally.

i want to do the same
I had long hair in year 9, and it really suited me, but before i got it that length, i had to endure 8 months of disgustingly messy hair

Now i kinda want to grow it again, and i want something to to hold my hair back

How about a ponytail? My mate used a hairband once to keep his hair outta his face when we had pics taken at the end of school.... but it looked very odd. Cant say i like the style much but long hair is awesome itself so try the ponytail! How long is it?:s-smilie:

my hair is definitely not long enough for a pony tail. But i've never really liked the idea of a male pony tail - if you remember that Mr Bean episode?

my opinion of it sort of changed when i saw david krumholtz in SuperBad (if you remember that)
;yucky; i dont like it. if you need a hairband you need a haircut

My incredible lovely boyfriend used to wear a hairband sometimes, I quite liked it.
Messy hair > hairband for me. Sorry.

i believe the band is used by football (soccer) players to block the hair from going into their face while playing. i doubt it was used to become more attractive. so the band should not be used outside of sport playing to beautify yourself.

...in my knowledge. it usually goes hand in hand with greasy hair.
Its a bad look imo

No. Get it cut.
Please don't do, It's so disgraceful and really ugly. Why don't you just get your hair cut instead....:s-smilie::
