Civil Service Surge and Rapid response team

Hi, I am currently applying for the surge and rapid response team vacancies with hmrc and was wondering if anyone who has or currently works in these roles can tell me anything about the role ? Eg what the work is like , how much travel is involved , and if this is mainly local or not ?
