RTW Gap Year - Spending?

Hey!
OK so this is me and my friend's provisional route for our RTW gap year:

London --> Bangkok // Singapore --> Bali --> Cairns // Sydney --> Fiji --> NZ --> Santiago // Somewhere in S. America --> San Jose --> Mexico --> LA --> NY --> London

(// = travel overland:
Bangkok -> Singapore probably venturing into Cambodia for a bit then down Thailand
Cairns -> Sydney is just a standard East Coast travel down
Santiago -> Somewhere in S. America is a bit more vague, really depends on how sensible it is to go through Colombia - probably not very)

Does anyone want to give a rough estimate of how much we should budget for spending simply whilst out there? (i.e. accom, food, bus travel, etc.)
We'll prob be travelling Jan-Jun, and the flights are gonna work out at just under £2k

Thanks

South East Asia you can survive on about £10 per day inc food, accomodation etc. Aus is expensive, hostels usually cost more than £10 per day. I spent more in 2 months in Aus than I did in over 6 months in Asia!

I did a similar trip, its a great trip Bankok to Singapore, Malaysia is amazing, goto the Perinthian Islands and the Tama Negara, oh and the Cameron Highlands!
