Your future prospects depend on many things, for a start what is your end goal? I studied for an MRes Biosciences a couple of years ago and it led me on to doing a PhD (what I'm studying for now). The great thing about it being an MRes is that you get loads of practical experience. Also during my interview for a PhD I was explained their scoring system, and you got extra points for having a post-grad qualification. However if you want to go down more of an industry route, sometimes it's not worth it as much, as an undergraduate degree is often the only entry requirement and they can have their own training schemes. Furthermore the NHS and some other companies have schemes where you gain a post-grad qualification while working for them. Hope this helps .
