International development : The University of Edinburgh or SOAS

Hello everyone,
I’m an international student planning on studying development studies (Msc) in the UK. I got unconditional offers from both SAOS London (MSc Development studies) and the University of Edinburgh (Msc International Development). I want to know if someone here had gone to any of this universities (and/or studied this subject).
I’m tempted to accept SOAS offer mainly because of the cosmopolitan nature of the school and the city of London. But from what I have read around the internet, SOAS seems to be a “hippy” place and very left-oriented. While I have no issue with either I would prefer a more “neutral” or “multi-sided” approach to the subject if that makes sense…

Thank you
Edinburgh's program does seem more profession-oriented, if you're looking to work in that field in the future. As for SOAS, You can still study in a 'left-oriented' program and still disagree. You're allowed to be critical - encouraged, in fact.

P.S. Note that "International Development" is not the same as "Development Studies".
