ITE/FE Government Bursary

Hi all,

I’ve recently started a PGCE (14+) in English, and applied for the government bursary of £12,000. The problem is, I still haven’t heard whether I’ve been awarded the bursary or not, and I wondered if there are other people in the same position?

Any help would be great :smile:

I had no idea about that! Thanks for the info. It’s quite surprising. Seems like a massive (and useful) loophole to be exploited for people who wanted to do a secondary English PGCE but could no longer afford it without bursary.

That’s a very good point! I didn’t even know there was a bursary available when I applied for the course, so it was a lovely surprise. It just seems like maybe it’s bad news if I haven’t heard anything about it by now.
