Can I become chartered quantity surveyor with a JBM accredited qualification?.

I have a BEng Civil Engineering degree and completed a masters in Project and Infrastructure Management. Both degree's being JBM accredited.

On starting my new job as a graduate project manager, the company would like to push me to gain my MRICS chartership, but my degree's are both JBM accredited. This would mean I would have to do a whole new RICS accredited masters.

Is there any other way I can become MRICS chartered without doing another whole masters? Are there any gateway courses which can bridge the gap between my JBM accredited degree to RICS accreditation?
If you have a look on the RICS website you should see the experienced route requiring 5 or 10 years of experience. Failing that is is the MSc route.

But, if your firm is going to pay that should be the best route. Typically you could complete the MSc part time over two years and start recording your two year APC diary for the RICS at the same time - so you should be able to achieve MRICS in a little over two years.
