London Accommodation?

So, I've firmed UCL, and now I need to apply for accommodation. For current students at UCL, what accommodations would you recommend, and is it better to stay in a UCL hall, intercollegiate hall or private housing as a 1st year student? Is it easy to make friends if you choose private housing as a 1st year student?

Intercollegiate halls are great - lots of people from other unis too. I'd say UCL and intercollegiate halls don't have any specific advantage over each other. Private housing is significantly harder to make friends in. Ultimately, it depends on what you're comfortable with...
