How to find email addresses from company names

I'm conducting some research for my dissertation that involved emailing a questionnaire to a lot of companies. I have a list of companies, but I wondered if there's a quick way to go from company name to email address/addresses - ideally in an automated way. I've found some companies that seem to provide it as a service - but they also charge a fortune. Thanks.
