Car modification (What to say to insurance)
Im thinking of changing the exhaust in my car, would get a pro in a garage to do it. I want to ask my insurance about how it will affect my premium, before I go ahead with it. Im doing it purely for the noise factor, not looking to try and squeeze any more hp out of the car, so its a cosmetic upgrade rather than performance. Does anybody have any experience talking to insurance companies about potential mods and what to say/ not say to them, thanks!
I'm assuming you are relatively young like 18-25 or so, any modifications will bump up your premium massively, I know someone who bought their car with racing strips and that bumped the premium up. Unless you can afford the spike in insurance I'd recommend not modifying the car
