Practice questions/papers and blurting. Either to someone else, on a piece of paper or to myself.

Also, for practice questions, I quite often do not write down the whole answer. I either write down in note form what I would say or I would say/think of the answer that I would do. It doesn’t work for maths based questions, but for knowledge based science it works quite well.

For History, essay plans or annotating sources/interpretations in the time you would have in an exam.
