You wouldn't be applying to uni with just GCSE grades though. Your A-Level or BTEC results are what matters for when you're applying to uni. As long as you're not planning on going to Oxford, or going into something like medicine, having 5s or 6s for your GCSEs will still be fine for getting you into uni.
