english language - CREATIVE WRITING 2023 YEAR 11S

Hi all,
I had learned a preplanned story for my english creative writing.

My story was about a girl in her attic cleaning and finding out her family's secrets. Thus making her have trust issues and makes her want to confront her parents, but in the end she faints because of all how she can't comprehend the concealed truths. Given that the exam question was to write about a human meeting an animal, I had used an extended metaphor and presented the diary as a tiger "constantly tugging at her" and I ended with the sentence that the tiger "had scarred" her. Is this off topic or is it ok?

the examiners LOVE long metaphors running through the text so as long as you fit the bried of human and animal you should be totally fine!
