UCAS Course Code

So I'm looking foward to study architecture in the UK however I'd like to ask what's the difference between the UCAS Code K100 and K101? I've seen both on many schools ( Eg: Manchester - K100 ; Loughborough - K101 )

Each university gets to set its own codes, so you can't actually compare them between universities. They used to be managed centrally, which is why they're often very similar to each other.

It used to be that the first two characters (e.g. K1) dedined the the subject and the last two (e.g. 00 or 01) defined some variant (e.g. "with placement year", or "with a specialism in X"). So one university might have had three similar courses, K100, K101 and K102. They might have them decided to stop offering all of these, leaving K101 as the only course code left.

The code doesn't mean anything. It's just a way to uniquely identify a particular course within a given university.
