University help for an international student

I'm wanting to apply for college to obtain a Master's in concept art/entertainment design. I hold a US honors degree in Fine Arts, drawing. I'm currently looking into the University of Hertfordshire, University of Teessidee, and UWE Bristol. I want a school that offers a lot of practical, real world experience through internships and projects. These schools seem to offer these things according to their website, but wanted to hear about the pros and cons from possible students or people in the area. If there's any other school like these, then suggestions are also fine. Thanks for any help!
Hi there, this is a really exciting time for you to be looking into a university to continue your studies and there are lots to choose from. Take a look at a range of different universities broken down by subject area here, this will help you broaden your research by narrowing down who offers your chosen subject at postgraduate level. Have you considered a university that specialises solely in creative subjects perhaps? from there I'd recommend looking into each forum for said university as well as on their websites and socials and gain an idea of what they offer in terms of student life, course prospects and the opportunities they offer in areas that are a priority to you.

Is there a particular part of the UK you seem to be drawn towards living in?

Hi! Thanks for your suggestions. I managed to find a few unis through the find a masters website portal and those three schools I previously mentioned popped up with a couple others, which I've subsequently crossed out for various reasons. The ones that have remained are those that offer lots of unions, events, and high quality practical work curriculums. I'll definitely look into that forum thread just in case I've missed some schools.

In terms of a solely art school, so far none have appeared. I hope to go into entertainment design as a concept artist, which is unfortunately niche and new area that is scarce to traditional based schools from my research. In terms of location, I'm looking at unis near cities that host studios for games, animations, and the like.
Hi, I got accepted into Teesside University two years ago, majoring graphic design, and will be starting my final year this September. As from what I've experienced as a design student at Teesside, most modules are practice-led, but they also encourage you to do practices beyond the common understanding of what the subject should be like, kind of challenging yourself a bit. I know there is an ExpoTees event for game, concept art, or digital art students to attend, to have a chance to connect to different companies and probably recruitment teams within the movie and game industries. To be fair, it was not a very large scale event, but indeed there were many people came and talked to students, I only went to see it once when I was in year one. And there is also another event called Animex, I haven't got to see it yet, but I know it's open to digital art related students, the school promotes it like a global event targeting fields in game, VFX, and animation etc.

Hi there
I teach on the undergraduate animation programme at Hertfordshire, and some of my colleagues teach on the post grad course you mention. I know they do run live projects with companies every year, but I don't know if there are any internships. I would recommend emailing the Concept Art lecturer - Leonardo Scazzochio [email protected] if you want direct answers to those questions. Hope that helps you.
