How to actually get into st Johns ambulance?

Hello there,
is there like a date where its best to sign up for st johns ambulance?
ive been waiting for over a year and there are still no spaces unfortunately
Help is appreciated!
I'm also entering year 11 so the pressue for qualifications is on!!
