Job resignation

What date should I give in my 2 week notice for my job if I want my last day to be on the 1st of September? . ( I work Monday to Friday)

So if your contract requires you to provide two weeks notice and you want to finish on the 1st September then the latest you should hand it in is Friday 18th August.

You can hand it in before then if you just wanted to get it out the way and say that your last day will be the 1st September, but the two weeks is the minimum to serve your notice to your employer.

To give 2 weeks notice, the latest you should give in your notice is 18TH August.
You could give it in before then if you wanted. You would just be giving them more notice.
