Do new universities go clearing on results day?

With A Level results day coming up on August 17, is there a possibility of universities previously not in clearing and decide to put courses in clearing on results day? How common is it?

e.g KCL is currently not offering clearing, can this change on August 17?

It looks like KCL are releasing a list of all courses available in Clearing on A-Level results day on Thursday 17 August 2023.

You will be best calling them and other universities on results day to discuss your options.

You wont know for certain until Results Day morning.

All Unis will have an idea of which of their courses might be in Clearing - but they will not know anything for certain or make any definite decisions until Wednesday.

You will hear a million rumours on social media - including here on TSR - but that is all they are, just rumours/gossip, as no-one has any inside info on this unless they actually work in a Uni Admissions office. Some Unis will update their websites on Wednesday evening but for the majority it will be Thursday morning.
