hey guys, my essay got shortlisted and i received an invitation to the award ceremony. it also said "If you wish to reserve a place for you and your guest(s) at the Ceremony and Reception, or the Academic Conference, or both, please use our booking system", and i was wondering if I MUST make or reservation or is it possible to attend the award ceremony for free?

You gotta pay the fee. Ceremony is not free buddy

My daughter went to an award ceremony at a Cambridge college (Woolf Essay) and no fee for her and her two guests, it was a lovely day. She did have to ‘book’ so they knew we were going but no cost.
