Uni final year results - provisional grades - strikes?

Hi,

My final year LLB results have been "released however they are provisional, once we have confirmation from the external examiners we will be able to produce final results".

How likely are provisional results to change and in which way?

lasked the uni about the timeframe until we receive our real official results and they said they are not sure but "aim to publish them as soon as possible"... which as you can imagine in a time of a lot of anxiety and stress, doesn't really help.

Has anyone else had this happen this summer?
