What happens if my remark goes up late?

I did considerably worse than expected in some of my exams (edexcel) and after seeing so many remark posts demonstrating how awful their marking has been this year, I've decided to give it a shot. Only problem, even if I were to revieve a succesful remark that would meet my offer in the next few days, it's significantly past the 31st august deadline. Is there any chance at all that (Durham or Birmingham) would still consider an acceptance, if I were to sort out my own accomodation even. Term starts 2nd october.

+ what's the fastest a priority remark can take now most of their marking backlog will be clear

If your successful remark comes back after the Uni's own deadline for remarks, they will honour the offer but may offer you a deferred place for 2024 entry instead. This not just because of course numbers - it may also be because they have no accommodation left.
