Is a B in English language GCSE sufficient to apply for medicine?
I have just completed my GCSE’s with 8 a*, 5 a and 1 b in English language. Is this enough to apply for medicine in all universities (not including a level). I am wondering whether i should resit and aim for an a but am also unsure whether universities take resits for gcse. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

It is enough to apply for many med schools, but not all of them.
And some med schools accept GCSE resits, but not all of them....

Oxford do not accept A level resits without ExCircs, and I suspect is the same for GCSEs, given they score them, but you may need to contact them to confirm. Contact details are on the website

Hi, I'd definitely recommend to look at the entry requirements of the med schools you want to apply to a that's the best way to get the answer to your questions on whether they'll accept your grades because like the reply above, some unis might vary on the grades slightly so you'll know exactly what they want that way, and on a positive you've done amazing on your exams you should be proud of yourself, so congratulations on your grades!!! You're freaking awesome!!!! And here's the number for Oxford uni +44 1865 270000 and you can speak to them if you'd like and they can sign post you to the correct place because the number is the general number of the uni, but they'll definitely help you out! Lmk how it goes!
