I think it all depends on the level apprenticeship you do level 6 has equivalence to a Bachelor’s Degree and a level 7 is a comparison to a masters. I think if you start off low depending on necessary experience and qualifications building your way up you’ll gain the necessary recognition along the way

Completing a nursing apprenticeship, can provide different opportunities to obtain different degrees in the end. However it does depend on the apprenticeship chosen. :h:

For example, with the nursing associate apprenticeship, if you follow this link it will tell you a little more about the course: https://www.canterbury.ac.uk/study-here/apprenticeships/nursing-associate-nmc-2018#:~:text=The%20course%20is%20undertaken%20over,if%20undertaking%20this%20as%20the

I would recommend beginning to look for a healthcare assistant role, offering support with a nursing associate role. This will enable you to work full time, whilst being paid, whilst also enabling you a designated day each week to study.

Nursing Associate Course:
It is an apprenticeship - enabling you to earn, whilst you learn.
It also allows onward progression for nursing associates into degree level nursing courses and recognises the new professional role in nursing.
It takes 2 years to complete.
It is divided equally between time spent in university, studying a variety of different modules and time in a range of practice experience facilities including a fully equipped simulation suite and healthcare settings, including existing workplace if undertaking this as the apprenticeship.
Recognised by the relevant trusts and they are provided with sufficient support.

Also do have a look into the different grant's available as you the government currently are giving 5000 pounds a year to students who wish to study a healthcare degree which you are not expected to pay back. You need to just check their criteria to see if you match. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/healthcare-studies-more-affordable-as-financial-support-increased

Hope that helps!

Good Luck!

Honestly I wish I could answer this but because of the ever changing nursing apprenticeship things change all the time and they may now be able to provide it. I remember when I was doing my BSC in nursing the apprenticeship was offered only up to a band 4 nursing associate position and I believe that was a new role made for the apprenticeship. But that could have changed. I would advise you check the position guarantees that you will finish as a Registered Nurse, rather than just being an entry way to Nursing.

If you do a nursing associate apprenticeship, you get a level 5 foundation degree and qualify/register as a nursing associate.
If you do a nursing degree appprenticeship, you get a level 6 degree and qualify/register as a nurse.

(The one and only way of becoming a registered nurse is by getting a nursing degree, which can be done via apprenticeship route as well as university... registered nursing associates aren't the same as egostered nurses but the qualification is pretty much purely done by apprenticeship)
