has this joke gone too far and am i right to feel frustrated?
Me and my mate had this inside joke that I found this actress more attractive than his celebrity crush (she’s pretty but just not my type ig). It was a joke because he thought it was so “outlandish” and I found it funny too.
These two other friends found out and got involved but apparently the actress plays a 16 year old in a show they watch so they’ve now made the joke into “you like 16 year olds”. The actress is my age (21) and one of the guys making this joke even said they thought she was “hot” but are now refusing to admit they said that. If I try bring it up, he talks over me so they don’t hear. They just now bring it up in every convo.
I got drunk one night and had a big rant about it. My mate (who started the whole inside joke because it was “outlandish” I fancied her over his celeb crush) felt really bad about it. He also kept telling me on the train back home that he wants to make things right, so I then felt embarrassed and all weekend I’ve been feeling bad.
