Hi there! :wavey:

It’s that time of the year again, and many of you have just started a new year at school or college and we’d love to hear from you about how you think it has gone! Now that the first few days have passed are you feeling nervous, excited, or indifferent about the year ahead?

Share your thoughts and experiences below and let's help each other navigate the next few months!

Here are some questions to help you get started:

What subjects are you studying for your GCSEs, A-Levels or equivalent?

Did you make any new friends? How did you break the ice?

What are your goals for the next year? whether that’s to do with your studies or otherwise!

Every experience is unique and sharing these can provide encouragement and helpful tips for others in similar situations. So, whether your first days back were a breeze or a bit of a rollercoaster, let’s hear about them!

With a bachelor's degree, you are not a postgraduate. You are a graduate.

Sorry my bad graduate nevertheless I have struggled to find anything.
Had a anxiety attack after maths- first lesson so they did a recap of knowledge and after that threw in the fact that we have a 1 hour test tomorrow, aka our second lesson. Led to me missing politics as i was overwhelmed. So to answer that question, things are going great😊

year 11 is just as bad as I expected we’ve only been in for a week but it feels like we’ve done enough work for a term 😭

Year 13 just started and totally not going well. I've got to sort out my EPQ and personal statement by the end of September/beginning of October. Mocks coming up in November. Absolutely stressed out. Oh and if that's not enough for my stress levels, I do Physics, Chemistry and Maths at A- Levels. Currently on a D in Physics and looking to do Aerospace Engineering at Uni. I know, it's funny. My whole life has been a joke anyways :wink:

Good luck to all of you out there and hope y'all do well!
It's been going well so far for me! I'm in year 12 and I'm loving sixth form so far. I love the common room because I feel like I'm socialising more and I've made friends with a couple of new girls at my school and they're both so lovely! I'm studying Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Computer Science - I'm not getting too much homework as of yet and I quite like my teachers! My goal for the next year is to be consistent in my studies while also ensuring that I'm in good health!

That can feel frustrating, but it's still early days! What industry are you looking to get into? :smile:
@scar-the-queen
This sounds like you're having a really positive experience so far :biggrin: Are you thinking about applying to University when the time comes?
