Russian gcse

It’s December already and only now in year 11 I found out I can undertake an extra gcse, I’m fluent in Russian and would love to do it but the closest Centre is an hour away, and I will have maths and Pe exam in the same day (I’ve already checked 24 time tables) I am going to ask school on Monday but just wanted to ask do I have a chance to do it this year? Or I’ve found this out too late?
