Work experience for an english literature degree

I'm currently a Year 12 student hoping to study English literature at uni and considering doing work experience in book publishing/editing or journalism - are there any firms that offer placements for this as a 16/17 year old?
Work experience isn’t required or beneficial for applications to academic degrees like English literature.

If you’re interested in working in publishing or editing/journalism then it might be worthwhile for your own interest and development but it won’t make any difference to your chances of an offer for a degree.

If you want help finding placements then you need to be specific about where you are geographically

tysm that definitely stresses me out a lot less now!!
I'm located in London - I've had a search around for places but its so hard to find placements when all the publishing/editing firms I can think of only look for 18 year olds
any smaller ones that would accept at this age?

It isn't compulsory. Cold hard grades are what are going to get you the place. Trust me.
