I'm a 17-year-old sixth former, I only have about 2-3 good friends and a girlfriend for 4 months, I'm always at home and go out about once every 2-3 months, I've never been invited to any parties/ raves, I've never had a taste of alcohol, never vaped. Me and my girlfriend still Haven't done it because we haven't found a place.

My life is pretty much, wake up, go to school, maybe spend some time with my gf after school and then go back home and usually play Minecraft or do some revision, On weekends, I wake up at around 8-9 and then I'm at home pretty much all day. Is my life that bad or am I exaggerating

Your life is what you make of it. Personally, I think that sounds great. You have a set routine and there's nothing wrong with that. Also, you'd rather have 2-3 true friends who will back you to the hilt than 20-30 friends who couldn't give a rat's arse about you. At 17, I'd never vaped and I wouldn't advise it either. I know it's a trend among all the teenagers but it's terrible for your lungs, you're basically inhaling liquid and in a lot of studies it's far worse for you than smoking so I'd avoid. Parties/raves aren't the be all end all either. A lot of them are basically just people flat out drunk or high as kites on drugs so you're not missing out. As long as you are happy and enjoy your life, that is what matters. It does not matter what anyone else thinks.

Everyone experiences ups and downs in life, but we live only once, it's time to start blending into the community, making friends, having fun, attending parties, and living our best lives. A person creates their own routine and mood, so it's worth adding more vibrant colors to our life. Also, it's important not to forget about education and family; spend quality time with them as well. Enjoy your life....

“Does my life suck?”

“Me and my Girlfriend”

I am coming for you, OP.
Sometimes I think life sucks because we are afraid to pursue happiness. Instead, we get comfortable waiting for happiness to just come to us.
Your life sounds similar to many 17-year-olds living at home. When you're a little older and more independent you'll have more control over how you spend your evenings and weekends.

No.
Your life does not suck. You have good friends - remember it's the quality, not the quantity that counts -, you're not even single. sure, parents can be overbearing at times, but they just want to keep you safe and that shows that they care about you.
Look on the bright side.

Doesn’t sound like your life sucks. Sometimes we need to reflect and try to be grateful for what we do have.

I currently have a parent with cancer, and one with chronic pain and is immune compromised, I’m balancing my life as a student between making sure they are ok. Still my life doesn’t ‘suck’, some days are tough but I find being grateful for the little things is incredibly important.

Many people have it worse than you, many have it worse than me, we have to learn to be grateful for that in a sense.

Still if you are feeling particularly down at a point and can’t figure out why its a good indication you need to speak to someone about whats going on.

Man, use your time well. Go touch some grass. Or Minecraft grass. Go for a run. Eat a nice meal. Just don't, and I mean DON'T be in your room all day. Even if you want, invest in shares. Go do that.

have a good one.

Hey I should have probably backread before making this comment but if you feel it's bad, then it's bad. Conversely, if you feel it's good, it's good.

Reading your post, I personally wouldn't be too minded about the situation you described but I know my standards and ideals are very different from others.

If you're discontented then find out what you're missing or maybe discover that you're not missing anything in the first place. Afterwards, you can do something to relieve it.

I'm glad you got these words out of your head, onto digital paper and off your chest to some degree. I hope things are going well nowadays for you.

No one's blaming you for exaggerating besides you and it's your call if your life is bad.

So sorry to hear you've been feeling this way, I hope you're better now- Maybe a change in pace or lifestyle might help, and if you're looking to make more friends and socialise more then don't be afraid to be the one to make plans and ask people what their doing- You won't know until you ask ❤️

I am dealing with some very ill and disabled people in my job at the moment. That tends to put things in perspective for me. Your life sounds fine.

Perhaps it’s because you still play Minecraft?
