i did mine about if ghosts are real or not!
it doesn't have to be about something boring, important or "topical" - try have fun with it and do something you actually care about and have an opinion on!! - also we were recommended to shy away from overdone topics i.e. horse racing or serial killers
(i got a merit but we think that is because i accidentally swore in mine)
i know someone in year 11 doing something to do with Barbie and Oppenheimer and another doing something on climate change so it really can be about anything!!
an idea i like is maybe something to do with bees and their role in the world - why we shouldn't be afraid of them!! kind of in-between factual and fun :smile:
