Switching classes

I want to switch science classes to another higher science class because I don't like my current one. It's really noisy even though the teacher is always there. I can hardly hear what the teacher is trying to say and I always get a headache. The content isn't really explained well and I find it hard to understand or remember. Iw ant to ask to switch classes but I don't know how what to say to the head of department and I don't have the confidence to ask. What should I do? Am I making the right decision?
