Why did he block me?

so there’s this guy that i’ve occasionally talked to in one of my classes, we texted for a while in september but it wasn’t much, and his friends have been sending me photos of him, and trying to get him to talk to me since then, but nothing much has really happened. I had an exam yesterday for the subject we share a class in, and after the exam he texted me asking what i thought of it (something he didn’t do to my friends in that class) however when i replied, saying “it was alright, hbu?” I woke up this morning and saw i was blocked?
it just seems really random and i wanted to post it here in case anybody’s had something similar happen to them?

I wouldnt ask anything and I wouldnt take the initiative to talk to him. Be cool! Just show u dont care a damn.

I would but he’s always with his friends that, to be quite frank aren’t the nicest, even he’s said himself he’s friends with them because he didn’t want to sit by himself haha
