Taster day worth it?

I got a place on the Keble College Oxford engineering taster day, which I’m excited about because I like Keble college and hope to do engineering however I’m more inclined towards the course content at Cambridge. My mum said it’s not worth going all that way from London so I was just wondering if anyone thinks taster days are worth it esp if they’re that far away?

I get both sides of the argument but personally, I would still attend as I get anxious with these types of things so it would help me enjoy the Cambridge one more, and worst case, I would get to know those at Keble just in case. If you have the time and can afford the trip, is there any negatives to you attending?
